Barnard receives national honor
July 1, 2009 - Women's golfer Lynsey Barnard proved
she can make the grades as well as the putt, receiving an
academic honor from the National Golf Coaches Association
for excellence in the classroom.
Scots football nationally ranked in preseason
June 8, 2009 - Fighting Scots football fans expect
great things from their team each year. Two national
magazines have joined in, ranking the Scots fifth and 11th
in the just-released preseason rankings.
Bourne caps senior season with selection to All-Region team
June 1, 2009 - Matt Bourne saved the best for last
and earned selection to the ABCA's All-Central Region team.
Three earn All-American status, streak reaches 25 years
May 23, 2009 - U.S. President Ronald Reagan was
seeking his second term the last time the list of track
All-Americans did not include a Fighting Scot. Two seniors
and a sophomore kept Monmouth's streak alive at the NCAA
Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Marietta, Ohio.
Hughes earns first All-American honor, Turczyn in finals
May 22, 2009 - Senior Tanesha Hughes gained
All-American status for the first time and classmate Shannon
Turczyn stayed on track to earn her fourth straight award in
the same event and fifth overall after stellar performances
Friday at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Hohl in hurdles finals at NCAA Championships
May 21, 2009 - Sophomore Logan Hohl became the spring
track season's first Fighting Scot to advance to the finals
at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Hohl nearly
ran a personal-best in making the field of eight.
Twenty-eight named spring Academic All-Conference
May 20, 2009 - The Fighting Scots not only excelled
as athletes, 28 student-athletes achieved recognition in the
classroom and were named Academic All-Midwest Conference.
Four Track Scots qualify for NCAA Championships
May 19, 2009 - Two seniors, a junior and a sophomore
qualified for this week's NCAA Outdoor Track & Field
Championships with some of the top marks in the nation.
Golf team finishes 23rd at NCAA Championships

build on after their 23rd place finish at the NCAA Men's
Golf Championships.
Golfers make move in third round of National Championships
May 15, 2009 - Ted Starkey fired a 1-over 73 and Ryan
Harvey carded his third straight 78 as the Scots head into
the final round of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf
Championships in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
